[i>Elt PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPVRIOUT.] STRIKERS FINED. WANGANUI, May 18. In connection with the recent strike of Imlay freezing Works slaughtermen two strikers were fined ten pounds and a number of others five pounds. The men made a. demand for increased wages and then knocked oil' work, alleging the sheep were wet. BODY FOUND. CHRISTCHURCH, May IS. The body of a man much decomposed with the throat cut, was found m a plantation near Kirwee. ft is believed to ho Archie Major, a former resident of West Melton.
