The Ruatapu Sports gathering took place at Lake Maliinapua on Saturday afternoon there being a good attendance, the gathering proving most successful. The results were as follows: Twelve inch chop: R. Bradley (15 secs) Ist., L. Inwood (ISsecs) 2nd., B. Koeti (scr.) 3rd. Time 53sees. 100 Yards Handicap: R. Bradley (2 yards) Ist., N. Inglis (scr.) 2nd., G. Inglis (6vds.) 3. Time 10.4-ssecs. Fifteen-inch Sawing Handicap (two cuts), all off scratch :—Phillips and Campbell Ist., Curtain and Thompson 2nd, Ivoeti and Starkey 3rd. Won by a small margin after an exciting congest. Time 26 1-5 secs, Twelve inch Handicap chop (local) — J. Starkey (3 secs) Ist., T. Cron (Bsecs) 3rd; J. Davern (2secs) 3rd. Time 43secs. Fifteen inch Handicap Chop: O. Halm (12secs) Ist, J. Starkey (8 secs) 2nd., W. Campbell (20secs) 3rd. Time lmin. 13secs. :120 Yards)’ Sheffield ‘Handicap: N. Inglis (scr). Ist., iR. Bradley (scr.) 2nd., G. Inglis (6yds) 3rd. Time ISsecs. Chain Stopping Competition: R. Bradley Ist., H. Wells 2nd. The winner stepped the exact distance.
