The Eire Brigade competitions at Greymouth on Saturday passed off successfully. Results: —
Baby Rescue (2 men)— Greymouth (White and Bloeksage) and Reefton (Clung and Thomas) a dead heat, 28 seconds, Ist; Kumara (Martyn and mate) 29 secs, 3rd. Greymouth 13., Oxenliam and Mclntosh) and Hokitika (Williams and Wallace) also competed. Two Men Coupling Event dry)— Greymiutii (White and Bloeksage), 40 4-5 secs., Ist; Hokitika (Williams and Wallace) 414 secs, 2nd; Westport B. (Curtis and Topliam) 45 sees, 3rd. 7 other teams competed.
Ladder Race (one man)—Mclntosh (Greymouth) 8 secs., Ist; Ching (Reefton) 8.1-5 secs., 2nd; Oxenham (Greymouth) and Dew (Reefton) 8 2-5 secs., dead heat 3rd.
Three Men Flat Event (wet)— Greymiuth A (White, Blocksage, and McIntosh) 31 secs., Ist; Greymouth B. (Benyon, McGirr, and Oxenham) 32 2-5 secs., 2nd; Denniston, 331 secs., 3rd. Eight other teams competed. Five Men Ladder and Reel Event (wet) —Greymouth (White, Blocksage, Mclntosh, McGirr and Oxenham) 60 secs., Ist; Hokitika (Williams, Wallace Dowell, Thompson, and Ross) 66 1-5 secs., 2nd; Westport, 69 1-5 secs., 3rd. Two other teams competed. Five 'Men Flat Event (wet)—Westport, 36 4-5 secs, Ist; Hokitika. 37 3-5 secs., 2nd; Dennist-on 39 secs., 3rd. 2 other teams competed.
