Tlie outlook as regards tbe coal dispute is evidently much improved as the result of a conference having been called. “I am extremely hopeful that, as a result of the conference now sitting m Wellington, an agreement will be arrived at that will be acceptable to both parties.” This was the statement of .Mr William Reece, President of the Now Zealand Mine Owners ’Association tins afternoon.
