ANOTHER RECORD FOR ROSS. (Received this day at 10.20 ?.m.< MELBOURNE, This Day. Tlio 440 yards swimming championship resulted—Ross 1, Beaurepairo 2, Wallace 3. The winner’s time was 5.19 4-5, a world’s record. At the last hundred yards Ross had the race well in hand and finished strongly, 8 1-5 seconds ahead of Beaurepaire.
