AMUSEMENTS.

“ MICKEY.”—WEDNESDAY

Ahead even of D. W. Griffith, it is claimed, Mack Senuett has topped popularity’s pole in his first big special. Brimful of incident' and surcharged with every element of modern appeal is “ Mickey,” the eight reels superfeature, with Mabel Normand in the title role, which is to be shown at the Princess Theatre on Wednesday nextunder the direction of Leo. de Chateau’s International Attractions. “Mickey” is a digest of the science of producing motion pictures. It has everything imaginable that might be conceived by tho most inventive producer, past and present, to “put thrills into films and project punches” upon the screen. Probably a. third of the footage is devoted to opportunities for Miss Mabel Normand to breeze through scenes of genuinely laughable incidentals. She proves her-seif the feminine and artistically concentrated essence of a Chaplin—Fairbanks’ combination of humour and agility. Her grasp of the subtleties of screen-acting have never been equalled. Her expressive eves and mobile countenance responded to every mood and “Mickey” became a living, breathing personality, vivified by the undisputed ability of this adorable creature. As a motion picture star she 'possesses the talent which will immortalize the name of Normand. Prices —Circle 2s Id, stalls Is Id, chiTefren half price.
