NAVY’S RAPID LITTLE CRAFT TO BE SOLD. London, Jan n. The fleet ol motor-launches — about 600 in number—which did such useful war work as patrols and in putting up smoke screens in naval bombardments outlie Belgian coast, is to be sold. There is a report that one firm has made an offer for the lot, but whether this is the best way to get the highest price has already been questioned in regard to the whole of the surplus war material. Built in America, the motorlaunelies are wooden-hulled, and vary from 75 to So feet in length. They are propelled by two 220-h.p. petrol engines. Each launch consumes 60 gallons of petrol an hour.
