KANIERI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
Shoot for the Championship Clip Presented by the Rate Mrs G. Head, of Kanieri. The two shoots for the Championship Cup took place on the Kanieri Rifle Range on the Bth and 15th of February. On both days the weather was fine but the wind very tricky, consequently the younger shots not understanding the winds did not have much chance.* Rifleman Joseph Hutchison who made a good name lor himself is a very jouug member, but broke down on the second last range when the wind beat him. The shoot ended up in a very exciting finish between Rifleman Geo. Head and Rifleman Jack Kulseti. These two shots tied and fired five extra shots resulting in a win for Rifleman Kulsen by one point. The following are the scores. The conditions were ten shots over ranges 300 and 500 yards for first shoot and over distances 500 and 600 yards for final shoot. Rifleman Ed. Stooo is the winner, as the scores will show of the B Grade Medal.
