AMUSEMENTS.
POLLARD’S PICTURES*
Pollard’s will present at the Princess Theatre on nest Monday evening } the charming screen favourite, Olive Thomas, in the winsome character of a manicurist in the latest of Triangle’s successful dramas—“ Heiress for A Day” Olive Thomas is always good, but she is more attractive as the little manicurist who became a millionairess in a day only to find a little later that the fortune did not exist, and she was left a pathetic little failure. “Heiress for a Day” can be described as a fascinating story told in a fascinating manner, a picture with plenty of snap, go, brilliant humour and a touch of grief. A companion picture to the “Cathedrals (recently shown in Hokitika) will be screened in the Pathe study “Abbeys of England.” The humorous ) Triangle comedy “Dishonest Burglar” and a Pathe Gazette will also be presented.
