RETURNING SOLDIERS.
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIOHT.I DRAFT NO. 200. WELLINGTON December 18. A returning draft of soldiers No. 200 arrived in tlie stream this afternoon. They will disembark to-morrow afternoon. A CLEAN SHIP. WELLINGTON, This Day The Returning Troopship was declared a clean ship and the Medical Board proceeded to work this morning. It :'s probable she will lie berthed this afternoon. MEN IN EGYPT. '** WELLINGTON December 18. The Minister of Defence, who has Keen trying to arrange to secure for New Zealand soldiers in Egypt and Palestine opportunities to see the Home country, before returning has received advice from tho War Office and the Minister of Shipping in the United Kingdom that It may he difficult to comply with the request owing to lack of shipping facilities for their transport. These soldiers may have to come direct from Egypt unless they are willing to submit to a long delay before repatriation.
