WELLINGTON .This Day

A meeting of the members of Uio. Liberal Party now in Wellington was held this morning at which all were present or account for, except two. Sir Joseph Ward presided, and the following resolutions Were unanimously carried:

“That this meeting of the Liberal Party desires to express its unabated in Sir Joseph Ward, as Leader of the Liberal Party and wishes to assure him of its continued loyalty and support. That this meeting is of opinion that Sir Joseph Ward should accept the invitation to represent New Zealand with Hon. W. F. Massey at the meetings of the British War Cabinet and sittings of the Peace Conference. That in the opinion of this meeting, the agree"--'-? t ntered into between the two parties at the formation of the

National Government in should be loyally adhered until aftor the return of the leaders from the Peace Conference.

The Party also resolved that Its individual members should give their assistance in helping to put the necessary legislation through Parliament and to do wliat they reasonably could to expedite the despatch of business wliil > at til© same time discussing any matters of importance that they considered necessary To do. Sir Joseph stated it was a good meeting of the Party and satisfactory in every way.
