POLLARD’S PICTURES.

“IT HAPPENED TO A DELE.”

To-night at the Princess Theatre Pollards will present the brilliant Pathe drama “It Happened to Adele,” a fascinating story of legitimate stage life and quaint, customs of actresses and art students. “In the Crucible.” the drd chapter of the Pailm serial “ The Neglected Wife,” and “ The Indian’s Hand,” the 14th chapter of “A Lass of the Luinberlands,” will be screened in conjunction with the stage feature. “It Happened to Adele ” is a story of Adele, Hie daughter of an actress who has fallen upon hard times, and who, by chance gets an engagement as a chorus girl, and struggles through some extraordinary happenings before she is brought before an admiring public. It is a romantic play full of surprises and quaint flashes of humor at the expense of the theatrical beginners. Gladys Leslie portrays the character of Adele in a superb manner and is ably supported by dainty Peggy Burke who acts the part of the levelheaded chorus girl who is experienced in the ways of the theatrical world.

McLEAN’S PICTURES. “THE LITTLE AMERICAN,” FRIDAY.
