[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.] GERMAN OFFICIAL MESSAGE. LONDON, Sept. 19. A German official message states: — “Between Havrincourt Wood and the Somme the English resumed their attacks on our positions before tho Sicg fried front. The attacks failed. Between Gouzeaueourt and Havrincourt we repulsed the English, who stormed forward severaLtimcs with strong forces and armed carss Epeliy and Ronssoy remained in their hands. The enemy in the evening repeated his attacks on tho whole of this front and everywhere was repulstd. After a hard fight we brought the Australians, who advanced by Hargieourc and Pontriiet, to a halt. Westward of Hellieourt and Bellenglise the British and French attempted to break through St. Quentin and northward thereof, but were driven back.”
GERMAN REPORT. LONDON,,,September 21. A wireless German official messago states: We repulsed repeated strong Gouzeaucourt and both sides of Epeliy; also attacks between Omigus rivulet and the s°mme.
