HIGH COURT OF AUSTRALIA.

- •- —~* R.IMU OPTIONS LTD. V. E. D MILES AND CO., LTD.

WIN FOR MR. BURNS

Messrs Park and Murdoch "Solicitors, acting with Messrs Lawrence and Lawrence of Sydney, for the Rimu Options Coy Ltd., of which Mr James Burns of Sydney is Attorney, received a cable from Sydney this morning stating that the defendant Company had settled the action, (in connection with which a Commission recently sat in Hokitika, before Mr T. Hutchison, Commissioner) by paying the sum of £2,200 cash and making a complete apology to the directors of the Company. The apology contains a complete withdrawal of the allegations originally made in the statement of the defence to the effect that the Rimu claims over which the defendant Company had an option, were valueless. Wo understand that- the boring operations conducted for the purpose of the case confirmed the values shown by previous boring.
