The “Daily Telegraph’s ’’ Milan correspondent states Milan papers allege the divorce of Emperor Karl and Empress Zita is imminent. Her opposition to the bombardment of Italian towns is so strong as to produce a real difference with Karl.
The correspondent adds: —The disgraceful military clique are largely responsible for the allegations, being anxious to attribute the failure of the PiaVe offensive to the fact that Venice was not first bombarded anil razed to the ground hy the guns of' the Austrian warships. As a fact the order was given to the Austrian Fleet earlier to steam for tho Italian port, on the Adriatic, and raze it to the ground, as a pfeliimnaryito int* Piave offensive, but Admiral Rizzo’s feat averted the bombardment.
