TIMBER EXPORT. SDNEY, June 5. Timber merchants are protesting against the No,w Zealand National Efficiency Board’s recommendation to prohibit the export of timber, particularly white pine, required for the boxing of meat, butter and rabbits for the Imperial Government, owing to the shortage of colonial timber. The decision wTll greatly affect local industries. Importers nro petitioning the Minister of Customs to make representation to the New Zealand Government. A 810 FIRE.
