The Eire Brigades Conference resumed yesterday when competition conditions were thoroughly revised. ' Inspector Hugo delivered an interesting instructive address on the use and maintenance of first- aid and smaller Brigade appliances. Invitations for holding the next annual Conference were received from the Invercargill, Hastings, 1 Levin and Lyttelton. A vote of the Brigades \vill he taken. The Annual meeting of the Fire Brigades Accident Society was held last evening Capt. Fruph of Stratford presiding. The Executive’s report showed that 202 Brigades were affiliated to the society with a membership of 1532. ,
