POLLARD’S PICTURES. MARY PICKFORD TO-MORROW. To-morrow (Thursday) even ini Mary Pickford, the world’s favorite will be starred in Frohman’s Famous Players five-act production “ The Foundling.” Laughter am tears are mingled in this wonclerfu play where Mary Pickford as the waif Molh r O’ is the sunshine makei at the cruel orphanage. “ I didn’t adopt you to mother; I adopted yoi to work.” Thus the grim woman speaks to Molly O’ whom she finds herself tied to after she had left the orphanage asylum. But dreary as the orphanage had been, tire little heroine is to find far more hideous misery in her new life. The sudden turn in the story takes place when her father arrives back, and is deceived as to the identity of his daughter. Strong sensational action quickly developes and the little waif drops upon a desperate burglary and becomes entangled on suspicion of aiding the criminals. All comes right in the end and the heroine finds a pair of loving arms and happiness. The whole play is typical of Mary Pickford’s best and it will be long remembered. The L-Ko Company provide a splendid 2000 ft farce comedy in “ Spike’s Busy .Bike.”
