DRAWING OF FIRST BALLOT. [mil PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.] WELLINGTON, October 29. The first ballot of members of the Second Division of the. New, Zealand Expeditionary Force Reserve was commenced by the Government Statistician (Alii. Ala loo]m Fraser) at 9’ o’clock his morning, when lie started todraw on Class A (married men without children). Th£ supervising. Alagistrae Is Air. S. E. McCarthy and J. P. Luke Mayor of Welling is in attendance.
The total number of men in Class A is 15,292, and of these 5000 are being drawn. 'Tho ballot, it is expected will lie completed by to-morrow morning, and the result will lie announced by Governlnioii't “Gazette” on Tuesday of next week.

At a mooting of the Second Division men to-night, which was fairly attended, resolutions were carried unanimously on the motion of Air. 'l'. Buxton, that the separation allowance for children should he increased to lO.s. per week, and a wife’s allowance should not lie less than fis. per dav.
