Tn the murder ease, the evidence was continued on the lines previously given. Tn the cross' examination of Michael Keogh, counsel for defence elicited that he had heard shots on Monday afternoon, when on his wav hack from the camp to the station. Ho saw two horses, a roan and a hay, both nowly ridden, covered with sweat, hut did not see the riders. A where near by had been occupied and sticks were burning in the fireplace. Walter Cooper, police constable at Tunarava is now giving evidence, dosser ibing the state of the bodies, rifle and camp. The ease is unlikely to finish to-dav. William Liidbrook, a shepherd, said lie had given permission to two natives to sleep at the tin wliaVe. They - had been shooting pigeons, using a shot gun not a rifle. The Grown Prosecutor said evidence would be produced on that point.
