RESERVE DIVISIONS.

CALLING UP BALANCE OF FIRSTS

WELLINGTON, This Day

It is understood that tho remaining names on the roll of tho F irst Division of Reservists,' numbering about 7,000 will ho called up en bloc.

Present legislation gives no power to do this, hut an amendment to tho Expeditionary Force Act will ho introduced giving the necessary authority. It is probable also that members of the Second Division will ho similarly called up, without ballot, in classas, where there aro only sufficient men for one draft. Thus, if a' draft ballottod from one <lass has left only sufficient for one more draft, it will ho unnecessary to apply the ballot to the remainder.
