'l'lie fortnightly fixture at Lbe above yards took place yesterday. The yarding comprised 75 head of tlie best quality cjittle seen ill the yardsfor a very long time. In consequence competition wiikeen from start to finish of the sale, mid. ' the demand scarcely satisfied, prices, if -anything, were firmer than last sale, and beef averaged 55s for tlie whole sale, probably the- best price this year. Cow and heifer beef, of whlcu there was not a big yarding, made prices hi keeping with the past two sales.
Messrs W. Jeffries .and Co sold for Mr lily. Diedrich, fourteen prime bullocks from £lB to £l9 7s 6d, seven heifers frvmi £l3 to £l3 10s; for Mr T. Condon, twenty-seven prime bullocks frolrt- £lB 12s 6ct to £22 ss, one stag at £l6.
. Messrs Moss and C'o., . sold for Mit'W'fe Adamson, sixteen prime bullocks from £l2 12s 6d to £22 7s 6d, five cows from, £lO to £l4 2s 6d, three heifers at £l4 (id; ’ for Mr Jelly, two cows at £l2 12s Bd. Tlieve iVefe’lio sheep yfifd'ed.
