COUNT ETSERHAZY RESIGNS
LONDON, 20
Tho “Daily Telegraph’s” Milan correspondent states that M. Esterhazy has resigned tho Hungarian Premiership. The Budapest!) newspapers announce that Count Andrassy has sue-
reeded him. Though tbo crisis is ostensibly due to electoral reform, the dispute is really attributable to a vital difference of opinion on peace and war. M. Esterhazy vainly tried to reconcile the views of the Karolys and Tisza sections. The latter demanded a vigorous prosecution for tho war while the former favoured an early peace by compromise rapprochment with England and internal democratisation.
Af. Esterhazy sought a third course by promising autonomy to the subject nationalities in the Kingdom.
