DIPLOAIATIC DOCUMENTS. j\ (Received This Dav at 11.25. a.m.) i .■ATHENS, Aug. 20. ! Among the diplomatic documents found, is a despatch from King Constantine of July 25th, 1914, old style, replying to the Kaiser’s, dated three days earlier, wherein the Kaiser proposed that Greece should range herself on the side of tho Central Powers. | King Constantine - said the Emperor well knows my personal sympathies, as well as my political opinions, attract me to his side, but it is impossible to understand how I can be useful, \as the Mediterranean is at tho mercy of the Anglo-French Navies which could prevent the concentration of our troops and we would be wiped off the map. Caution, therefore, is necessarily imposed upon us. Von Jagow told the Greek Minister that the Kaiser would understand the necessity of Greece’s neutrality.
