A ZEPPELIN RAID.

ZEPP CREW KILLED.

LONDON, June 18 Tho Zeppelin cre\y perished and the mangled bodies of six who jumped from the wreck were scattered - in adjacent holds. It is believed that eight or ton men remain in the wreckage. An eyewitness watched the Zeppelin for forty minutes. It was, apparently winged by the guns when three aeroplanes approached. The last and fastest seemed as if it intended to ram the airship but instead it climbed over the Zeppelin peppering its whole length It was splendidly daring and clean work. The airship afire from end to end drifted slowly downward.

DEMAND FOR REPRISALS,

LONDON, June 18

At a crowded meeting in the London Opera House, the Lord Mayor presiding, it was resolved that systematic ruthless reprisals were the only meana of bringing home to the German people tho inhumanity and cruelty of the dastardly and criminal air raids. The meeting called upon the Government to initiate immediately"" a policy of ceaseless air attacks upon German--cities.

MIRACULOUS 'ESCAPES.

LONDON, June 17. The streets of a south-west coast town are a mass of broken glass, aorial torpedoes wore the principal missiles employed. Some residences were damaged, but the occupants had a miraculous escape.

Reports from East Coast towns state thaf following a thunderstorm, the night was still clear. Thousands were aroused from their sleep by a terrific bombardment. Searchights picked up the raiders which penetrate a few miles. Anti-air craft guns gave a hot reception The airship was soon aflame and descended some distance away amid tremendous cheering. The first explosion in a southeast coast town was about two in the morning. Aerial torpedoes and explosive incendiary bombs were dropped. A fire was quicky extinguished. Tho torpedo damged some old cottages and private residences.
