We have done one week-end "hike" and a day "hike," this last being for the purpose of gathering lycopodium for hall decoration. On Saturday, October 11th, a combined team of Hutt and Petone Rover-Scout Crews played Rugby against the Ist Wellington City Crew. A hard, sporty game resulted in .a'score.of 14 to 3 in favour of Wellington. Mr Harold Meachanx most ably -ref creed. On Saturday, 18th. Octo- J ber.the Crew held a social, which was a great success. Invitations were issued to Rovers' parents, members of Group Committee, Honorary Rovers, and others interested. A good crowd of young people attended also. Among visiting Seouters were: Miss Nancy Wilson (Dominion Akela Leader), Mrs Hoggard, Miss P. Heath, and R. S. L. Druminond. A splendid programme of games and dancing was much enjoyed, prizes being given fox1 various novelty games and dances. Just before supper the Crew Honorary Secretary welcomed those present, and thanked them, for their support.
