If you want to keep pot plants moist for a week or two, soak an old piece of blanket and place it in a large pan or, bath. Stand the pot "plants on it. This will prove most useful in holiday' time. : Qld stockings are excellent rubbers for polishing furnitjire, floors, and brass plates. Old pieces of serge, etc., can be used to make cloths for use in washing bathroom floors, window-sills, etc.
