,The two Scout Troops hay been re•orgaiiised to some extent, and the efficiency should be of a higher standard in future. We have a good crowd of instructors, which is a big thing in a troop. Our Soccer team entered the competitions this year, winning their first match, against Ist Lower Hutt, but losing tho second, being defeated by Seatoun Troop. ~

Sir Alfred Robin visited the jSTo. 3 Troop for a short while, on 23rd Sep^ tember and gave the boys a talk on monkeys, which he had observed in Africa. Teams are practising hard for the District Competitions, both in First Aid and Signalling, after which we shall begin work on the job we have in hand for the Chief Scout's visit.

On Sunday, October 12th, the usual monthly Church parade was held, combined with the Anglican Boys' Homo Troop and Pack, the boys being billeted out for lunch, returning to the hall for afternoo ntea, which was dispensed by the Rover-Scout Crew. The Crew's thanks are extended to those who send edibles along1, and especially to iho ladies who so willingly lent their aid. On September 16th Harry M-aud was invested as a member of the "Great Brotherhood" and haying passed his test many weeks previously, received his "Tenderfoot" Bodge.
