LOWER HUTT LADIES' MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB.
A very pleasant afternoon was giv<en by the ladies of the above ehvb on Thursday, 7th August in the Scouts' Hali, Lower Hutt. It took the form of a '^500"'afternoon. The object of this effort was to help buy books fox the library, of the Hutt Scouts.. There N was a fair "attendance of ladies, games were played;, and a very enjoyable afternoon tea was provided by the ladies of th>e. cluib. Mrs. Mair won the first prize (half-a-dozen beautiful crystal tumblers donated by Mrs "Hadcn the treasurer of the club). Mrs Exton arid Mis? Buck also won prizes for 'the Competitions.'! This is the first of a series of "500 afternoons the eliivb purpose holding every' fOTt-tii'ght: All ladies wishing to attend will- -be . very welcome. ■■■■••»-
