WEDDINGS. MITCHELL—MITCHELL.
A qmiet wedding took place at St., Stephen's Church on Friday, July 25th j when May, daughter of Mr and Mrs. \ J. Mitchell, of Invercargill, was'martried'to Dudley Robert, son of Mr and Mrs Mitchell. The bride was escorted •by her .brother-in-law, Mr. F. R. Martin, of^.Taita.' Her frock was of navy- , blue maraeaiii, with peipendieular gathers in front- and pleated jabot and cuft"s: of beige ez'epe-de-chene, the hem of the skirt was uneven, nearly touching the ground at the back, and -her hat was a model" of navy-blue satin. She wore guii-metal stockings and shoes .to tone. She was attended by her .sister, Mrs. F. R. Martin, as nmtrqn-of : konouiy-wearing a navy blue floral crepe-de-chene frock, Hvith toeige : georgette collar and tie, piped with . floral crepe-ide-ehene. Her hat was a close-fitting navy blue felt.. The Rev. J. E.£opdeli performed the ceremony. Afterwards the wedding party left for ' Wellington-where the wedding breakfast was held. Mrs Mitchell was -wearing a. blacli repp> silk coat, squirrel fur and black satin hat. ■ HIGrHWOOD--SCO-TSaK. The wedding was solemrifsed at Trin- ! ity Congregational Church, Lower Huttj . | on Friday, July 29th at 6 p.m. of Olive, .! 1 daughter of Mr. and' Mrs. Herbert Highwood, of Lower Hutt, £o Albert eldest son of Mr and Mrs. James Scotson, of Lower Hutt. Thß bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and was frocked in pink silk aoid car- - ried a charming..jahower bouquet. Mr "HiiT^or^am^lynrFroth^f-in^aw^^ 'bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony a .breakfast was held at the residence (ft the bridegroom's parents, where^the usual toasts were honoured.
