SOCIAL EVENING.

A very enjoyable evening was spent at Mr and Mrs. Binning's residence, Knights Road, last week. The object was to ; raise funds for St. James's Church furnishings. Bridge was played in one room and dancing, games and ■competitions in another. The winner^ of the competitions were Mrs. Lines, Miss Gawith, Mr. King and Mr. Wallace, and Miss Gawith won the box of chocolates. Miss Fletcher delighted the guests with her violin solos and Mr Harbord amused everyone with his songs and music.' A delightful supper was served, after which • Mr. H. Brooks thanked Mr. andj ; Mrs;Binning for their kindness and hospitality. The singing of Auld Lang Syne brought, a very happy evening to a close. '
