BIRTHDAY EVENING.
On Monday Kith inst a very iappy evening- was. spent by the. ineotmbers anil '■friends' of Bellevue Lodge No. 126, I.CXO.F in their Lodge Rooms, Scouts HaW, Lower Hutt the occasion being the sth Anniversary of the . opening of lite Lodge. Business being. quickly disposed , of, the* Lodge held a social evening, singing and cards toeing indulged in. At supper speeches suitable to'the. occasion were given by N.G. Bro. A. Sncddpn, P.O. ißro.. S. Kay and P.G. Bro. G. Breach, who, incidentally, was the first N.G. of Bellevu& Lodge. Visitors who contributed to. the musical items during the evening: were Mr. L. Arnold, whose zylophonc playing gave much pleasure to all,, and ;Mr. J. &haulock who sang "some brigiht and happy songs. The Lodge showed its appreciation in no uncertain ternis for the kindness of these two gentlemen in contributing so well to the success of the evening. A memorable evening coneJl<uded with chorus singing and Auld Lang Syne. .
