A DREAM OF CLYDE.

I thought I stdod on the Banks of Clyde • It was a lovely day in June, The sun east down its golden rays On dear auld Bu-gien toon. I heard blue ©hildren laugh and play While the lamibs did sport aroon And every thing looked brigtht and fair Koon that ancient borough, toon. I could heaT the e&uTCib. bells ringing That Sabbath afternoon, To proclaim the hour for worship To the folks of Bu-glen toon. And all along the Banks of Clyde Tine birds tuned out tieir lays, And lads and lasses trecked along To Cathkins flowery braes. \ I thought I heard a rumbling noise Like the sound of a rushing stream Then I wakened from, my sleep to find, My thoughts were but a dream. A. Watson, Moera.
