A MUSICAL TREAT.
Infrequently, outside a cathedral, do w~c enjoy the pTiv.ilcge of hearing one of its choristers, but the conjugation of. a, local church were- fortunate on Sunday, night in hearing tiiat. very difficult solo from HandelV ' '^"Messiaih'' "I Know That My Bedeemer Liveth" exquisitely rendered by a small chorister from Christ-ehm'ch Cathedral. Most freqiuently, tihis solo is allotted to the adult female voice, but so* of ten does •one feel that its demand is physically quite beyond the performance, but this small songstre seemed to recognise no such difficulty, for his singing was as the effortless 'outpouring of a - bird, jSurely, in the realm of music there is nothing more uplifting t&an the crystal idlarity of the child voice, and one feels regretful that, in our choirs generally, it is not more often heard.
