WOBURN CROQUET CLUB.
On Wednesday, April 30th, over forty Indies spent a mibst en-jbyable afternoon at the residence of Mrs. V. Piper, Waterloo. Koad as guests of the Wobiirn Croquet Club, Mesdamcs Piper, Tninblyn nnd Monies being 'hostesses; Miss Aika Nichol delighted everyone with hi?r singing and was presented with, a- : beautiful bouquet by Mrs. Piper. Games and competitions filled in the rest of the afternoon, one game in particular ''Parcels'' causing uproarious fun. Coinpcitit/ions were jvoii tiy Mrs Pas.sinore, Mrs.. Veitch and Miss NTiehoi. Guessing Competition: Cak-^. Mrs. Foster, pair of fowls, Mrs. Veiteh A dainty afternoon tea~ was "provided and in spite of the inclement wentlnuI'the.:'Club will benefit to the -ex-tout of I £6/3'/- as a result of the effort.
