up to standard on that amount alone> without .the aid of the Parents* Association, wihose funds were not intended for school maintenance. The financial statement showed a balance of 2/in tihe Bank and 1/4 in hand, with an unpaid account of £6 owing to cleaners of the school. ■

Thirteen nominations were received for .'election, the executive of -the labour Party having nominated a full ticket of nine, who were, as a foregone conclusion, eleeteVl en bloc, much to the. resentment' and indignation-;6f '■ the residents, who eonrtend that party politics should not enter into school committees or any part of: educational work.' -
