When Lady Alice Fergiisson left the Dominion she entrusted the organisation b6 dear to her heart, the League of Mothers, to the members and officers of the League throughout the Dominion, and her own special office, that of Dominion President, to Mrs. J. S. Elliott, wife of Dr. J. S. Elliott, Wellington. That Mrs Elliott has a very hard and' responsible position to fill, no ono denies/but site is eminently suited to carry -on and develop the work so ably organised by its founder. The local branch of the League is fortunate in securing Mrs Elliott' to: speak at their meeting next Thursday,^ April 10th, in King George Hall. .The meeting will take the .form of a reception to Mrs. Elliott, and Mrs. Chales White (Wellington Provincial Secretary) and all mothers in "the Valley are as-ked to be present and welcome two w-ho are devoting so much time to rh.^ interests of League work. Mrs Fillott is an. excellent speakei\and will h:i<-c much to say of interest to those present. The Committee is particularly dy?irouf-. that tie .change to the second Tuesday, April 10th, made necessary this month to avoid clashing with the X"'owo.i Show, will be carefully noted.
