BY-LAW CASES

Messrs C. B. Robinson and S, Clendon, JJP's, presided at the Lower "Hutt Court last Tuesday.

1, Fox failing to giveaway to traffic

approaching from the right, M. E. MeGill was convicted and fined 10/- and 1(5/- costs.

J. W. Crooks was convicted and fined £X and 10/- costs for riding a motor cy-cle at a speed dangerous to the public.

For exceeding the speed limit in the borough V. W. Cave, J, Darragh, Haxold Hart, George Hook&am, It. J. Horlor, Joseph Khouri," M. Magnus, W. S. MeLea, Frederick Clarence Walker and —. Wafers, were each fined £1 and court costs 10/-. -

William Soo, for turning a motor truck in Main Street between Hutt Bridge and Queen Street was convicted and fined £1 and costs.

For exceeding the speed limit of 25 miles per hour, S. J. Bussell was convicted and fined £2.

ArthuT Fitzmaurice —was convicted and fined 15/ and 10/- costs, for allowing one black gelding to wander in Market Street. - -

Allan McArthur for driving a motor cycle over Main Bridge at a speed exceeding 15 miles per hour was convicted and fined £1, and. for speeding on Eailway Avenue "he was convicted and fined 10/-.

Riding a bicycle in Victoria Street at night without having a light attached to the machine cost George Howland 5/- and 10/- costs.

Douglas Smith Ferguson was convict•6 dand fined £3 and 10/- costs for driving a motor lorry with a load exeeding two tons, over the Melling Suspension Bridge. ; CIVIL BUSINESS.
