HUTT VALLEY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

The monthly committee meeting.was held in the Council Chambers on "Wednesday 'last. Mr. D. S. Patrick, President, presided, and congratulated the members of the committee on the keen interest taken in. the work of the Society, and said ihe would assist all he could to make the yeaT *a successful one. . The following dates of the season's exhibitions were confirmed:— Spring Tuesday and Wedn'eslay, the 17th and %Bth~ September. Rose Show: Wed nesday and Thursday, 16th and 17th >: April, 1930.' ; The question of the Chelsea Show in February was held over" until noxt meeting. ' "

So- i eiety for kindly assistance given at their recent show. Several new' members were elected. The Executive Committee was elected as follows:—Messrs D. S.. Patrick, ' President; H. J. Poole, Treasurer; AY ! J-. Nicholls, Secretary; R.-3ST. Wall, C. F. PileheT, A. Grierson,, W. vCopping, A. Anderson, G. H. Savage, F. J, ' Burrell. . . Copper Memorial Gold A Medal 7 was allotted .to the February ' Show. , ' The question of award cards and show ease fox trophies was referred to. the finance committee, ~ : i The President, Mr. Patrick, stated he would "be pleased to donate a trophy for competition, allocation to be decided by the cQmmittee." The annual meeting of the Ladies' Committee is arranged for Tuesday, 23rd July in the Council Chambers; at 2.45 p.m.
