WEDDING
A wedding of local interest recently solmnised at St. James's Church, Lower Hutt, was that of Dorothy May; only daughter Of Mr and the late Mr. T. C. 8011, to "William Cyril, youngest son of i Mr. and Mrs, George MeG-ill, »The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. F. Ellison,1 wore a frock of shelly pink georgette, with uneven ihem. line, and trimmed with diamante and orange blossom.' The embroidered veil, finished with a coronet of orange blossom, formed a tra.in, and a bouquet of pale pink -and cream chrysanthemums was carried. also.w'ofe a necklet of rhinestones, the gift of the bridegroom. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Vera Johns> wore a frock of lavender satin and georgette, t&e 'bodice 'being tight, with full frilled skirt, and carTied a bouquet to tone, " Wo little flower girls. Misses Delza Walker and Shirley MeG-ill, nieces of the bride-' groom, were in frocks of gold. tissue and georgette, with, gold lace hats. They .carried gold baskets of '■ rose petals. Mr, Emil McGrill, of Wellington was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Lounge Hall, where Mrs Bell received her guests wearing black lace and mariette, and a soft felt of opium shade. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted- flowers. Mrs, Gf. McGrill was in a black
sequined- frock with black' &at, with touches of red, and. carried a bouquet tif autumn tints. Later in the evening Mr and Mrs. W. C. MeG-ill-left by car for a tour of the north, the latter wearing an almond green crepe de chine frock", trimmed with- beige, hat to tone, and a fur coat, the gift of her mother. The gift of the bridegroom to the bridesmaid was a. r>iinestone. necklet, and to the flower girls, goldarmlets. '• ' . ' -
