(To the Editor). Sir, —It must be most gratifying to the members of the River Board to know that as the all powerful (?) Civic Asociation does hot find the Bill now before the House objectionable, that august Body will not force Parliament to throw it into the waste paper basket. Many J years ago there were three tailors in Tooley street who commenced their protest in respect to something they did not hink wise with the words:—"WE, THE j PEOPLE OF ENGLAND," Thank Heavens WE, the Civic Association, does not object to this Bill. Saved! Saved! — I am etc., GRATEFUL.
