BUILDING PERMITS.
The Engineer (Mr. A. G. Bush) reported to the Council on Monday night on the building permits for the month as follows:—
Seventy-eight of work in progress have been made and 23 house drainage systems have been tested.
Building permits issued are as follows:—18 dwellings in wood, value £17,----470; 4 shops, £2,700; 7 additions and alterations, £690; 5 garages, £315; B"sheds> and outbuildings, £181; total value £21,----356. Fees collected for above permits, £64 ss.
