LOWER HUTT CROQUET CLUB

The annual meeting of the Lower Hutfc Croquet Club was held in the Club's pavilion on Wednesday, 6th. June, 1928. Mts Eddie ({President) was in the chair ,and there was practically a full attendance of members.

The report and balance sheet were read and adopted and called fox much favourable comment as last season was. one of the most successful in the history ox the club.

The following officers were elected for the incoming season:—President, Mrs. W. J. Eddie (re-elected); Vice- President, Mrs E. Yates; Secretary, Mrs D. Hendry; Treasurer, Mrs H. E, Leighton (re-elected); Club Captain, Mrs W. B. Bock; General Committee, Mrs Ayson and Mrs H. G. Teagle. Tea Committee, Mrs Stonehouse (re-elected), Mrs F. Parker (Te-eleeted), Mrs J. B. Wood, and Miss H. MaeaskOl. delegates to Association, Mrs Eddie and Mrs Bock.

In. spite of the fact that several members have resigned owing to the formation, of other new clubs in the district, it was decided to enter for each of the three grades of the interclub matches. It was also proposed that the green be laid down as one laTge lawn instead of the two smaller lawns as in, former seasons. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to all the offiecrs who had worked and made the last season such a successful one.
