Shannon Notes

LBy our Resident Representative.]

Mr. lioy Hook is much butter, and will soon Ijc about again. Ho was not taken to Mr Quarries, but to his lather's residence in Shannon. Mr W. J. Culver, Inspector oi Awards, recently paid a visit to Shannon and the result was a case against Mr Moynihan of the Club Hotel, heard before the Magistrate's Court at Palme rstou. The charges were for failing to p:iy: the award rate of wages, audi failing to give a. full day holiday weekly. Mr Cooper appeared for Mr Moynihan and pleaded ignoranco ol tho award, but the plea did not avail and a une of £4 was imposed. Those who know Mr Moynihan will no doubt conclude that the broach of tho award was merely ail unintentional oversight on his part.
