.. . LEVIN STOCK SALE. . . Messrs Abraham and Williams, -Ltd., report:—At Levin on Friday we offered large yardingg of all ciases of: stock to a good attendance oi: buyers. Competition throughout the= sale .was keen especially for fat sheep. A nice line of 127 fat wethers.offered,on account of Mr A. Drake realised 27e 6d and 27s 8d; fat wethers on account of the Weraroa Experimental Farm made 29s 2d, and fat ewes 29e lOd; Mr Leydon's fat wethers realised 26s 10d, and fat ewes to 22s 6d,' while.other lots of fat wethers made up to 28s 9d, and fat ewes up to 26s 9d; light fat owes 18s 6d to 21s 6d. : A line of 150 forward wethers sold on account of Mr A. Drake realised 23e 6d, and his annual draft of 250 owes in lamb 245. Medum hoggets made up to 14s 3d, f.m. ewes in lamb 18s sd, cull ewes in lamb 9s 6d, store wethers 19s 4d, medium fat cows £6 15s to £8 2s, light fat cows £5 19s to £6 ss, store cows £2 15s to £4 ss, woaner heifers 17s, heifers in calf £3 19s. A line of 63 forward bullocks offered on account of. Mr A. ©rake made £11 5s to £11 17s 6d, and a line of 27 3-year bullocke £9 8s 6d. A smaller entry of pigs than usual was offered and all classes met with a ready sale, and a total clearance was effected at the following quotations :—Sows in pig £2 17s 6d to. £6 ss; baconere- £2 5s to £2 11s 6d; porkers 20s to 38s; slips 13s; weaners 6s.
