\V. Bull and Co. report.—The gram market in all departments is still ill an exceedingly firm condition. Since out last report oats have hardened very considerably, and Algerian se.;d are very scarce. Merchants are asking (is Oil per bushel, f.o.b. southern fiorts for this variety, while Gallon seed are worth 5s Id on trucks. A\ ellington. Chaff is still high in. price and there is little or none offering. Ryegrass has advanced and we und 'i - stand that stocks are in a low condition. Galvanised fencing wire is now quoted at £15 10s per ton f.o.r. Wellington, and corrugated iron has risen £3 per ton. We quote Feed oats 4s 9d; seed oats 5s and 5s Gd; pollard 2(Xs per sack ; bran 14s per saclv; feed barley Cs 3d per bushel ;seed barley (is (id; flour 19s per 100; sucrosine 18s Gd per 200. 9,s (id per 100; cocksfoot f.d. BJd, m.d. Is Id; whole linseed 24s cnt; ground maize 7s 2d; Sutton's seeds as per list; tea 7s 9d. 9s Gd per 51b box; candles 13s 6d box; soap 14s box.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. ,Wellington report having held their clearing sale at Oil an on Wednesday on behalf of Mr M. Corfner. The stock came for ward in good condition and met with rather a good sale. By the end of the day we disposed of practically the whole stock under the hammer Some of the principal sales For dairy cows were as under:—£s 12s ;?d to £G 10s up to C 7 ss; weaners 20s, 355, 355, £2; 18-inonths heifers £3 17s; yearling steers £3 9s.
