A cable message states that the British Government is adamant in refusing Treasury grants towards the maintenance of the Belgians, except on Sir E. Grey's conditions. Two lads who escaped from the Weraroa Training Farm a few days ago, wore captured at 8.15 on Monday night, at Te Horo, by Constable Satherlev. The boys, both of whom are thirteen years of age. took to the hills on leaving Levin, and wandered towards Otaki, crossing the river near the Gorge. From here they travelled into Te Horo, entered two or three huts, and stole clothes and a few shillings. They were taken back to tho Farm yesterday.
