At our fortnightly sale on the 1 )tli instant we offered a large quantity of opossum skins, which were keenly sought after, and as a good number of buyers are now interesting themselves in- this business, prices throughout were i) to full market value. On the whole the skins were in fairly T :ood condition, but were, of course, not as Avell furred as they \"ill be later in the year. In ■<ome cases insufficient attention had apparently been paid to drying, and we would point out" to -lients that a great deal of harm can be done by rough handling iust after the skins have been ta- ' eii off and before they have cooled. The following is a range of nricos:—Best, 4s Dd to 6s; medium, 2s 8d to 4s 4d; inferior. Is '0.1 to 2s 4d; kittens, Is to Is lid.
