AUCKLAND, December 19. At the inquest on tho body of Gerald Alfred Byrne, the victim of the drowning accident in St. George Bay on Sunday, a verdict of accidental death by drowning was returned. _ The evidence showed that Albert Nelson of Pamell. was tho first to observe the accident, and, putting off in a dinghy, secured tho deceased and took him ashore, the other rescuers picking up thiree other members of the capsized crew. Jn recording their verdict, the jury gave expression to "their appreciation of Albert Nelson's plucky action.
