Hitchings, Hankins and Co., Ltd report on their sales as follows: —

There was a large attendance at our Mart on Saturday, when we sold a large catalogue. The- Indian and Persian hand-worked goods commanded special attention, ano we had no difficulty in making sales, owing no doubt to the excellent quality of the .goods. Furniture and produce sold well. On the same afternoon we held a most successful sale of new furniture at the Otaki Town Hall. There was a record attendance of 'biiyen. present, and although the catalogue was a particularly large one, we cleared the lot to the satisfaction ol the vendor.
